Operation: Baby Shower (post-op)

Operation Baby Shower was a success!

I realized for the first time just how small my house is with so many people in my living room and dining room. Maybe I should ask Dood for an upgrade. Ha!

We had a great turn out and I don't think I will need to buy anything for this child for at least a year and anything that I do buy I have gift cards for. I was actually a little overwhelmed by all the support from my friends. Honestly, I did not expect to receive so many wonderful gifts. I told Dood a while ago that I didn't want to count on getting items as gifts because, since we are from out of town with little family around, we would likely have to do this on our own but boy was I wrong. I completely underestimated the generosity of my friends and for that I apologize. One more time I must say thank you.

There were some unique and creative designs that were created yesterday. I have included some of them here. The wishes also went over well and it really got people thinking. I have not read the, and I will be placed them in sealed envelopes as soon as I can remember where I put them.

Food-wise, holy moly there was lots. I ended up not needing to  do all the things I listed. The crowd favourite was the spinach dip and, of course, the Doody Balls both of which there is very little left over. I tucked away a few of my own personal stash that I am hoping Dood doesn't find before I get home. As I write this I am on a bus heading out of town for work. I won't be able to publish this until I get to a computer since I don't have the photos saved on my iPad.

Update: Photos added and published only about a week after I wrote the darn thing.
